Determination happens when the thing you desire is worth more to you than what it will cost you to obtain it.
We all have issues that we deal with, some great and some small, some life altering some life enduring. Whichever it is we all must traverse this walk of humanity and as long as we are in the world we will have trouble but Jesus has overcome the world and given us the ability to overcome as well. The woman with the issue of blood tried everything to deal with her issue all to no avail. The bible tells us when she heard about Jesus she said, “if only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” The risk of public humiliation, the threats of the multitude gathered around, the fear of being rejected all weighed in as nothing in comparison to her enormous desire to be healed. When you want something bad enough nothing else matters. What do you desire today? Physical Healing? Emotional Healing? Healing in your marriage and family? Peace? Joy? The fulfillment of God given dreams? Direction? Wisdom? Clarity? Whatever it is, I challenge you today to establish its worth and allow determination to cause you to reach until you touch His garments hem.
This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’” Zechariah 8:23
Don’t be discouraged!!!!
Where you are isn’t as important as how far you’ve come! Remind yourself daily of how far God has brought you! When you are journeying down a very long path it’s easy to become discouraged and weary because you can’t see the finish line..but when you look back at how far you’ve traveled you realize – I’m going somewhere! I’m a long way from where I started!!!
