One of the most challenging things to do is forget. The mind cruises the corridors of the past over and over and over again. It’s almost like a breakdown of logic takes place similar to the continual circling of the child of Israel. The pleasure of sin, the regret of failure, and the memories of those who have disappointed are such a strange mixture that they almost become a familiar friend. Then this, “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.” Isaiah 65:17
The definition of FORGET is to fail to remember, fail to recall or fail to think of. Why is it so easy to forget what we should remember and remember what we should forget?
Lord help me today to forget the things which are behind me and help me to remember to reach forward toward the things which are ahead.
